  1. During this phase I learned that you have to have equal balance and support on both sides of the argument. Also I learned that Grammerly program is a great resource in helping with my paper. I am a little anxious about my final paper. That is because for this recent phase I had trouble integrating my new sources with my paper to make it make sense and prove my thesis. What would make me feel more confident is managing my time better and getting phase three back and seeing the improvements that need to be made, so that I can fix them.

  2. This phase I found myself more focused and better able to sort through all of my sources. I think I'm fairly confident about the final AB and CR especially if I take more time to read the materials on the subject of my paper. Other than that, if I run into glitches I plan to use the writing center to tweak my paper.

  3. This phase I found that proper organization of the essay and topic are very important. Throughout the whole class I have had difficulty finding resources for my topic that are based in the United States. I believe that I need to set aside more time than usual to find resources and possibly more time to make my paper flow properly. I may have to go to the writing center again to see if I am where I am supposed to be with my essay. Learning how to simplify my explanations in the essay have been somewhat difficult as well but I think I may have simplified better than the last phase. I don’t believe I will ever feel comfortable writing a paper that is this long, but I do however feel like I have a better understanding of what needs to happen compared to Phase 1. Length of the paper always been a problem for me, I seem to do better with shorter papers.

  4. In this step of the phase I found that the paper was easier to place together due to there being more information and we could also write more on the paper. In the beginning of the assignmetn i was having slight issues finding anything ony topic due to the youngness of the system being mentioned. However, as time had gone on I found that my skills in looking for more information began to grow, not consentrated around a single individual which I perviously had thought. It was also a little easier to take out all of the fluff so there was more information in the body of the essay so readers can get a better understanding on the topic.

  5. In this last phase of writing i learned that its okay to cut some sources and find others that may provide more material. I also learned the importance organization and revision. I think with more effort and focusing i will be confident in my final paper. I definitely need to pay attention to details and helpful information that has been provided for me.

  6. In this phase, I found that this was even easier than Phase 2. I feel as though I need more sources just for the sake of the research paper, but nevertheless, I'm glad I had more information than I needed in the last phase because it did put me ahead. I'll have to see what critiques and grade I'll get to determine what i can do better for the final version of this paper, but I feel confident that this will turn out to be an awesome paper. Otherwise, I've been told by two people that this paper was smooth and great. I even sent this paper to a Hip-Hop Aesthetics/Theater teacher at Colorado College, and I await a review.

  7. Was away from the internet so Im just going to do this now (Sorry! D:) but this phase was . . . interesting. It certainly required me to go outside of the box to get this paper in on time and to better it. There are still a LOT of things I have to work on for the final I am sure, but it at least is sending me in the right direction. Definetely learned a new technique of cutting my paper into pieces to get the flow and direction going. Could be my downfall, but if it works then I will definetly have something that will help me in my approach of how to write papers in the future.

  8. I feel this phase helped strengthen my paper tremendously. I was able to bring a counter argument to my paper to show my opinion as well as others. I think that when you talk about both sides of an argument, you become more credible and your audience may be more open to what you are saying. This phase made me realize points I wouldn’t have even thought of if I hadn’t looked at all of the counter arguments. I am confident overall with my information, however, I feel like in my last paper I gave to many examples of people to represent my argument. Instead, I need to put more information and less examples to make it stronger.

  9. This phase made me realize that it is much easier to spend an entire semester writing a paper as opposed to one drunken night composing and one hazy morning editing. I hope i can discipline myself to do things this way every time, especially since its much less stressful. I feel pretty confident going into my final, although a measure of precognitive abilities would certainly boost my confidence.

  10. Don't feel confident whatsoever. But hey, there's nothing I can do about that but to keep on trying. I learned that I'm a crappy research writer (despite being a good writer in general), but hey, I'm going into law enforcement. Not forensics. I only need the 5 W's when I'm on a scene. Or at least that's what my law enforcement professor told me last year.
